Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomists are healthcare professionals, trained to draw blood from patients for various purposes, including medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research.

The program includes essential instruction for performance of safe and efficient work practices in obtaining adequate and correct blood specimens by capillary or venipuncture in patients.

  • Medical terminology
  • Recording and sorting specimens
  • Safety policies and procedures
  • Specimen delivery and preparation

In addition, you will be developing your Career Portfolio with one of our Career Counselors and learn about the employment opportunities that await you.

Required Program Courses:

  • Basic Health Care Worker HSC0003 - 90 hours
  • Phlebotomist MEA0520 - 75 hours

This program will put you on the path for employment opportunities as a Phlebotomy Technician upon completing the educational training and requirements.
